To Max

At night when I lie awake and cry,
And ask God why you had to die,
I get no answer, but can imagine
Our little angel up in heaven
For I believe that God will keep
You safe and sound while you're asleep,
And give you all his love and care
'Til Dad and I can join you there.

Because dear son, I have no qualms
We'll hold you once more in our arms.
Until that time you'll always be
In both our hearts until we're free
To join you in that special place
And see again you lovely face.
