Reuben's Poem
We never got to hold you close not even for a while,
We never got to hear you laugh or see your lovely smile,
We never got to hold your hand and take you for a walk,
We never got to read to you and hear your baby talk,
We'll never see your shining eyes now Christmas time is here,
We'll do our best to laugh and smile and wipe away a tear,
We only have sorrow and pain that will not go away,
Dear Reuben, you, we'll not forget, for in our hearts you'll stay.
