Service standards for hospitals providing neonatal care BAPM 2010
The British Association of Perinatal Medicine has published the third edition of this document – the previous edition was published in 2001. The document, produced by consultant neonatologists and other experienced professionals from all over the UK, contains current best practice principles and standards in neonatal care and provides clear recommendations. It covers the pattern of service, care for the sick newborn infant, staffing, and the roles of doctors, nurses and other health professionals, including the provision of psychological support.
