British 10k London Run
Join us at the tenth annual British London 10k Run which takes you through the heart of London, taking in many world famous landmarks. The start is outside the Hard Rock Cafe in Piccadilly then you pass through Trafalgar Square, by Big Ben and across Westminster Bridge with the finish on Whitehall. A great event to take part in if you're new to running.
Bands and DJs will entertain you along the route and the event sold out months in advance in the last four years, find out below how you can secure your place.
We support you...so you can support us!
Joining our Team
Online entries are now open, so please secure your Own Place and use it to run with Team Sands and raise whatever you can for us. Once entered, just let us know!
By joining our team and choosing to support Sands you pledge to raise money for us. If you secure your own place there is no minimum amount for this event, we just ask that you raise as much as you can. We will send you a pack full of tips and sponsorship forms and will be on hand to offer advice and answer any of your queries.
Alternatively, we have Charity Places available in return for a minimum sponsorship pledge of £150 though we would be most grateful if you'd get your own place whilst they're still available so that we can field our biggest team ever in 2010.
How we will support you
In return for pledging to raise money for us we will support you by providing you with:
- A fundraising pack crammed with fundraising ideas
- A complimentary Sands running vest or T-Shirt
- Fundraising materials to help you including sponsorship forms, posters and balloons.
How to enter
Official entry is now open - Register your place online above.
If you've deferred an entry from the 2009 race or have secured your Own Place, please do consider using it to run for Sands. We support all our runners in the same way.
If you didn't manage to secure your own place, don't worry, you can still apply for one of our guaranteed Charity Places in return for your pledge to raise a minimum of £150 in sponsorship for Sands.
To join the team please email fundraising(at)uk-sands.org with:

1 in every 200 babies born in the UK is stillborn.
1 in every 300 babies born in the UK dies in the first 4 weeks of life.
1 baby every 84 minutes is stillborn or dies within the first 4 weeks of life.
Everyone has their own special reason for taking part in an event like this. Whatever yours is please join the Sands Team and help us to continue to support families when their baby dies and to promote research to help reduce the loss of these babies lives.
