What is Sky Ride?

Sky Ride is by far the greatest excuse to have fun on your bike! Right across the summer, Sky and British Cycling are providing a host of leisure cycling opportunities for beginners, kids, families and the most confident riders. Whether it's traffic-free mass participation rides through our cities or smaller, led-group rides through the countryside, there's something to suit you. Sky Ride cycling events are perfect for people of all ages who want to get healthier, fitter and happier. And it’s good for the environment. If you’re looking for a new challenge, want to meet other riders or just a family day out with a difference, Sky Ride is for you.

Joining our Team

By joining our team and choosing to support Sands you pledge to raise money for us. We will send you a pack full of tips and sponsorship forms and will be on hand to offer advice and answer any of your queries.

How we will support you

In return for pledging to raise money for us we will support you by providing you with:

A fundraising pack crammed with fundraising ideas
A complimentary Sands T-Shirt
Fundraising materials to help you including posters, balloons and collection tins

How to enter

Entering couldn’t be simpler go to www.goskyride.com and sign up for the cycle ride closest to you.

Then to join the team please email fundraising(at)uk-sands.org with:

Once you are signed up we will send you a fundraising pack and a t-shirt to get you started.

Why raise money for Sands?

17 babies a day are stillborn or die within the first 4 weeks of their young lives - that's over 6,200 babies every year in the UK.

1 in every 200 babies born in the UK is stillborn.

1 in every 300 babies born in the UK dies in the first 4 weeks of life.

1 baby every 84 minutes is stillborn or dies within the first 4 weeks of life.

Everyone has their own special reason for taking part in an event like this. Whatever yours is please join the Sands Team and help us to continue to support families when their baby dies and to promote research to help reduce the loss of these babies lives.
