About the Duathlon

With triathlon (swimming, cycling and running) becoming an increasingly popular sport, duathlon combines just two of these disciplines (running and cycling) to enthuse those people who fear the water! The London Duathlon involves a 10km run, a 20km cycle and 5km run.

Entry into the event can be either on an individual or team basis.

We support you...so you can support us!

Why raise money for Sands?

17 babies a day are stillborn or die within the first 4 weeks of their young lives - that's over 6,200 babies every year in the UK.

1 in every 200 babies born in the UK is stillborn.

1 in every 300 babies born in the UK dies in the first 4 weeks of life.

1 baby every 84 minutes is stillborn or dies within the first 4 weeks of life.

Everyone has their own special reason for taking part in an event like this.  Whatever yours is please join the Sands Team and help us to continue to support families when their baby dies and to promote research to help reduce the loss of these babies lives.

Thank You.
