Rob Smedley and his wife Lucy decided they wanted to mark their precious daughter Minnie's 1st birthday and organised a party in her honour. Held on 31st May 2008 Minnie's Party has become Sands biggest single fundraising event to date. Read more »
Sands patron Jo Cameron embarks on a challenge to run 17 10k races around the UK to raise an additional £20,000 for research in memory of her daughter Emmeline. Starting with the Great Manchester run on 18th May 2008 and ending Autumn 2009. Read more »
Flora London Marathon 2008
Sisters Mary Knight, Helen McGee and Suzanne Foll ran in the Great Ireland Run raising over £2,200 in memory of Helen's sons James Gerald and Michael William
Great Manchester Run 2008
Alisha's granddads John and Bernard remembered her 10th birthday and raised over £1,100 getting shorn.
British 10k, London 2008
Stuart McLeod showed just what a Winter Tough Guy he was by completing the "military assault course from hell". He raised nearly £5,000 in memory of his daughter Jessica and his son.
