Toulouse Women’s International Group

On behalf of our Chairman, Diane Miller and all the members of Toulouse Women’s International Group (TWIG) we were delighted to donate €5,000 to Sands, money which we raised during our Christmas Fair 2007.

Each year members of TWIG vote at the Annual General Meeting for charities that they think would benefit from the funds raised. Sands was chosen by our members because as a group of women, from all walks of life, we probably all know someone who has been affected by the heartbreaking news of an baby’s death.

The fair had a record number of volunteers, who under the sterling direction of Su Douglas, put together an event that was a roaring success. The fair was held in Salvetat St Gilles and attracted visitors from all over the Toulouse area and beyond. Stalls included hand-made pottery, jewelry and soft furnishings, to name but a few.

TWIG celebrated its 23rd birthday this year. Our membership continues to grow and offers friendship, support and advice to international women moving, either permanently or temporarily, to the Toulouse area of southern France.
