Christchurch Primary School, Bradford on Avon

We are thrilled that the children at Christchurch Primary School in Bradford on Avon have chosen Sands as one of their charities for the next two years.

Sands staff member Charlotte Bevan visited the school to talk to the children about our work. At least two children at the school have younger siblings who have died, including 8 year old Tamzin whose little sister Poppie was stillborn on 26th June 2003.

Charlotte talked about her daughter Hope, who died shortly after birth in 2001. After the talk Tamzin drew Charlotte this wonderful  'Fairy's Rock' card, showing her sister Poppie with Hope and her friend's daughter Calypso who died tragically within hours of an uncomplicated home birth in 2006.
