Membership of Sands

Sands aims are to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, to work with health professionals to improve the care provided to bereaved parents and their families, and to promote research to reduce the loss of babies' lives.

Membership of Sands plays an important part in helping to fund our work and is open to anyone who supports the aims of Sands.

In return for your annual subscription you will receive:-

a copy of our national newsletter, 'Footprints' 3 times a year, containing a wide range of news and articles on Sands work and a dedicated section on the personal experiences of bereaved parents and their families;

Invitations to our regular programme of events which currently include:-

A wide range of activities during Sands Awareness month in June culminating in our annual open day at the Sands Garden in Alrewas near Lichfield, Staffordshire;
The Sands Annual General Meeting and Members Conference, where you have the right to vote and which normally takes place at the beginning of October
The Lights of Love concerts which are held in mid-December to gently celebrate the life of a baby that has died or another loved one

Regular updates, on new publications and other items for sale and on the many fundraising events in which Sands members and supporters take part.
